Volleyball is one of the most played sports in the world. In fact, its popularity is now skyrocketing and more and more people consider the idea of playing volleyball. Not just for competition but for enjoyment too. In order to properly play this game, one needs to have the needed equipment and stuffs. One of the things needed is the right volleyball shoes. When choosing the right volleyball shoes, one needs to look at various characteristics in order to improve performance, the quality of the soles, midsoles and upper shoe parts need to be properly emphasized. You can choose from various designs and types. But before choosing, let me first differentiate a volleyball shoes from that of regular shoes.
Volleyball shoes are designed to be lightweight, ankle supportive, shock absorber and grips well onto the timber or plastic floor. They too have a pointy toe; this allows the player to lean forward and move faster from the position of balance. All volleyball shoes have a rubber but soft sole pad. This feature ensures ultimate consistency when running from one area to another. The added extra foam that can be found on the midsole pad also adds pressure to the middle part of the foot when jumping for a spike or diving for a ball. Usually the upper part of the shoe is made of mesh or leathery substance. These offer comfort to the player. Because of the odd shape, volleyball shoes can sometimes be confused with soccer shoes. The abovementioned features greatly differentiate volleyball shoes from that of regular shoes.
Regular or standard shoes have a hard sole pad or slightly hard sole because these shoes are intended to be used for walking on concrete and other firm floors. If you have noticed, regular shoes have sole pads that are similar with the texture of a sand paper because regular shoes are crafted for walking purposes only. Sneakers on the other hand have a lot of padding that cushions the feet of the wearer, but it doesn’t mean that it can be used for playing volleyball. It may stand the stress for the first time, but it will immediately wear out due to the tension created from jumping and spiking. In general, the main difference between volleyball shoes with that of regular shoes is the softness of the pad.
Volleyball shoes come in varying prices depending on the brand that you like. Depending on the level of quality, you can find cheap ones that also offer durability. But oftentimes, it is the high-class brands that offer outstanding permanence and can last long. You can purchase a pair of volleyball shoes from various store outlets. When choosing one, be sure to meticulously examine the characteristics of the shoes in and out. But before buying one, you need to make sure that this is the sport that you are going to pursue otherwise it will be useless. You will be blowing out hundreds of dollars just for a pair of shoes so might as well make use of it.
